I am writing to you with a request on behalf of VicHyper. I would be extremely grateful if you set aside the time to read this letter.

 

Humanity is driven by a desire to succeed and conquer the world around us. The Wright brothers first flight and the first moon landing were separated by only 66 years. Flight, which was considered an impossible dream, was fulfilled and surpassed as we conquered the skies and then space within a lifetime. We seem to have lost that drive to expand and to make the world smaller. Transport isn’t improving and experimental projects are dismissed before even being looked at. Human progress is being hindered by pessimistic bureaucracy and a fear of change. The Hyperloop is a project that could make the journey from Melbourne to Sydney in 55 minutes, without the need for airport transport and security and at a fraction of the cost of flying. It’s a project that has the potential to re-shape the entire world. However, due to the incredible improvement over current transport systems, many people in positions of power are skeptical and so the concept must prove itself before it can be funded and developed properly.
 

Vichyper is a Victorian team of bright young engineers working on a pod prototype that will be tested next near in the USA, a step that is integral to the development of the Hyperloop, as it will show the world that it is a viable project and worthy of support. Currently Vichyper is short of their funding goal to build the pod and is seeking support from people, organisations and businesses that care about providing our species with the best possible future.
